Our editorial process
At Neuronaut, we take great care in how we share what we do. We believe that information becomes powerful when it’s clear, accessible, and, most importantly, human. We want our words to reflect who we are: passionate about neurodiversity and committed to inclusion.
That’s why we’ve designed an editorial process with you in mind. Here’s how it works:
It all starts with an idea
Revising, enhancing, and perfecting
Designing to catch your eye
Content needs to look as good as it reads. We make sure every article, infographic, and image is visually appealing and easy to understand. We use Neuronaut’s colours and style to convey warmth and professionalism.
Publishing and sharing
Research comes next
Here’s where the magic begins. We gather information from evidence-based research and trustworthy sources. But that’s not all — we also listen to real-life stories from families and professionals. We make sure everything we share is accurate, up-to-date, and deeply respectful of neurodivergent individuals.
Our commitment to you
At Neuronaut, we don’t just create content. We create spaces to reflect, learn, and act. We want every article to be an invitation to see the world through new eyes, celebrating neurodiversity in all its forms.
Because at the end of the day, information alone doesn’t change the world. But it can change minds and hearts.
Writing with heart (and mind)
Once we’ve gathered all the information, we start writing. Our goal is simple: to make complex ideas easy to understand while keeping the depth the topic deserves.
Connection: We want you to feel like we’re speaking directly to you.
Clarity: No confusing jargon here. If something is complex, we break it down.
Quality: We refine every word to ensure the message is flawless.
Listening to you
We love hearing from you. If you have questions, comments, or suggestions, we’re here to listen. Your feedback helps us grow and improve every day.
Every topic we choose has a purpose: to inspire, educate, and connect. We draw from our community’s questions, important dates in the month, and, of course, neuronaut’s values. We always ask ourselves:
How can we offer something truly helpful?
What important conversation can we start?
How can this content support families and professionals?
Before we share anything, we go through a meticulous review process.
Is the content clear?
Is it aligned with our values?
Are we being respectful and neuroaffirmative?
Nothing gets published until we can confidently answer "yes" to all these questions.
The big moment: sharing our message with the world.
You’ll find it first on our blog, presented in an easy-to-read format with extra resources.
Then, we share it across our social media channels and in our NeuroNews newsletter. We want to keep you in the loop with everything we’re doing.
Learning to do better
After each publication, we take a moment to reflect:
What worked well?
What could we improve?
What did we learn from our community?
This helps us continue creating content that inspires, informs, and makes you feel part of this movement towards a more inclusive world.
